There's a few of these kinds of garms around. And yes, attitude to risk is messed up.

"But alas I don’t know, I just like to ride the bus to work." That's the point, completely. We all just want to live in peace.

I saw a small sign at my Kroger in the medicine aisle telling people they are on camera. It made me really sad. I'll have to remember ask my mutual aid group if they give out medicine. I know they give out free wound care and hygiene products. Reading about the baby formula being locked up made me really sad, but I'm also relieved I'm not the only one who feels this disbelief and rage when I go to the grocery store. And like you said, the employees don't like it either. I know once my mom said a cashier "was in cahoots with" a woman who was stealing some meat. She would put it on the cart before it was scaned.

To anyone who needs it:

I don't know if this happens where you live but where I live people put things out on the side of road to be taken all the time, as well as have gardens. Those might be good places to take from. It's also really easy to find shoplifting advice on reddit. I have some squatting guides on my blog.
