It is delusional to think that Democrats give a damn about working class people of any ethnicity or gender. They just broke the railroad strike, FFS! They are persecuting their political opponents of all stripes, from the Gray Zone to Donald Trump.

AND they unconditionally support a bunch of Nazis in Ukraine and genocidal maniacs in Israel. No, the Democrats are an authoritarian cult, and they successfully sucked you back in with a fucking religious revival they called a political convention.

Think, please.

Exactly right. As Glenn Greenwald so ably demonstrates, the Democratic Party is now the party of endless war, worship of the CIA, and American imperialism, i.e. the “Neocons”: https://rumble.com/v5c4qt9-system-update-321.html?e9s=src_v1_ucp.

Ok. What’s your move, then? You good with the alternative?

My move is to agitate, agitate, agitate and wait for the unavoidable collapse of our political system and the opportunities that may offer me. As for the alternative, Trump's nothing but a rich used car salesman but he is objectively the lesser evil compared to the Democrats.

Doesn't mean I'll vote for him--I won't vote for anyone who supports the genocidal maniacs in Israel--but I'd rather see him win than $kamala.

If it just so happened he was against the continuation of the genocide in Palestine, would you be more inclined to vote for him?

Do you think the revolution comes through “waiting” and “agitating”? And what opportunities would that “offer YOU”?

I have to say it’s quite disappointing to see what some centrists would call the “alt-left” in the wild.

Trump doesn’t give a shit about you, he does what money tells him to. Pro-Trump individuals are all for the persecution of people who oppose the orange man’s agenda (I mean, January 6th, anyone?), and another Trump presidency would unequivocally be terrible for education, transparency, global cooperation, and marginalized groups.

I think that someone on the “left” who believes Trump is the better option is either completely detached from the reality of the situation, or drowning in privilege. If you look at the people Trump publicly admires - be it Netanyahu, Putin, Milei, or Órban - you might get a better idea that he is anything BUT friendly or indifferent to the Left.

This is not to say the Democratic Party is amazing and you should totally vote for it - were I an American, I would be more inclined to vote for the Green Party than the Democrats, even considering the current political scenario - but damn, hoping for Trump to win is insane.

The Democrats want two wars, the Russia proxy war and the Gaza genocide, Trump "only" wants one war, the Gaza genocide, that's better from a left perspective. RFK Jr. at FDA would be a win for organic farmers and people who oppose corporate pharma.

Can you flesh out "material conditions worse for revolution," without more substance that is a glittering generality to me,

Man, the Biden admin has used novel legal theories and warped interpretations of the law to convict political opponents.

Opposition from the Left is gonna get wrecked under Harris. There’s not a chance in hell she’s gonna let economic progressives protest her.

I hesitate to embrace the label because socialism means wildly different things to different people. I’m a Marxian materialist, in the original sense of the term, if that makes any sense.

Trump started no new wars and didn’t persecute his political opponents. Biden did both, and $kamala will do even more. I don’t see how you can consider the Democrats the lesser evil for those reasons alone.

Kamala gave some good stuff for domestic economics but she was hard right on the border, on policing, and especially on foreign policy. She will continue to burn babies alive. That’s where some of us peel off.

What good stuff? All price controls does if you leave a capitalist market in place is create scarcity. That wouldn't be true of course under something like luxury space communism, but we aren't there yet.

"Fascism," I do not think you know what that word means. Arguably neo-con woke fusion is more "fascist," right wing populism.

She became the candidate a month ago. Did you think she had firm policy plans written up ready-to-go in her diary or something?
